Big Wight Matter has been postponed until 2012

The weekend festival is a time for you and your family to enjoy the breathtaking coastal views and beaches of West Wight. Take part in organised walks and an off road cycle challenge, relax in the swimming pool, compete in the quiz and games, and dance the night away to live music in the beer tent as the sun sets over the cliff tops.

Both the walking and cycling can be as simple, or as challenging, as you choose, and are perfect for all the family. There are two walks - one 15 miles long, offering spectacular views across the cliff tops, and another shorter walk for littler legs. The cycle ride - part of the Isle of Wight Cycling Festival - is a great introduction to mountain biking. The beautiful 10 mile circular route along the ridge of the downs features a pub in the middle. If you fancy a few more beers, then go round again... and again! And look out for the Bronze Age tumuli on Mottistone Down.

Like last year, base camp will be at the family (and dog!) friendly Brighstone Holiday Centre, with the walks and the cycle ride starting here and heading out onto the cliff paths and beaches.
